Events on the Eastern Trail 2023-2024

Trailwide Events:

• Maine Lighthouse Ride —  The 20th anniversary of the Maine Lighthouse Ride took place on SEPTEMBER 10th. Thanks to all who rode and volunteered for this fun event that supports the development and operation of the Eastern Trail! Stay tuned for the announcement of the date of the 2024 ride.

• Monday, November 27 – Eastern Trail Full Moon Walk (Beaver Moon), Scarborough Marsh, 4:00 – 5:30 pm. Join the Eastern Trail for a full moon walk in Scarborough Marsh. The walk will leave from the Pine Point parking area (138 Pine Point Road). The groups will be limited to 25 people and masks/social distancing is required. Upcoming Biddeford-Arundel-Kennebunk Section Events:

• Eastern Trail parkrun, Biddeford, 9 am every Saturday (started May 6). A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it’s up to you! The event takes place at Biddeford Eastern Trail (accessible from the Southern Maine Health Care Hospital car park), Medical Center Drive, Biddeford, Maine 04005. More details and registration here. Upcoming Eliot, South Berwick, Berwick, North Berwick, Wells Section Events:

• No events scheduled at this time.
  

Group Trail Events:

• Lunch and Loop Rides took place in 2023. These are intended to acquaint participants with the beauty of the Eastern Trail and increase two-wheeled camaraderie, and usually range from three to five bike rides. To allow riders to enjoy Maine’s seasonal changes, ride organizers Russ Lamer and Bob LaNigra.  Go here for more info on 2023 rides and to read about past Loop and Lunch Rides.
• Full Moon walks are scheduled throughout the year, usually every month – walking in the summer, snowshoeing and skiing as possible in the winter. Groups will be limited in size to 25 people and masks/social distancing is required. No flashlights or pets, please.
