Parking spots near the Eastern Trail in Arundel

On this page we list places to park when accessing sections of the Eastern Trail for walking, cycling, skiing, bird watching, or other uses. Additional parking information can be found in the Trail Guide.

South Portland:

• Bug Light Park | Map

Scarborough:

• Black Point Road (on Eastern Rd spur south of Black Point Road) | Map
• Pine Point Road (at ET crossing) | Map
• Old Blue Point Road (Cemetery parking lot) | Map

Old Orchard Beach:

• Milliken Mills Road (on the shoulder) | Map
• Old Cascade Road (two spots only) | Map

Saco:

• Mill Brook Business Park (off Route 1) | Map
• Thornton Academy Area (Thornton Academy is completely closed until further notice – There is no parking on TA grounds until school has resumed. While nearby on-street parking is limited, you may park on the shoulder of Clark Street and access the trail from there.) | Map

Biddeford:

• Southern Maine Medical Center (rear lot) | Map

Arundel:

• Town Hall (at Limerick Road and Mountain Road intersection) | Map
• The town of Arundel has created parking spaces along the Limerick Road portion of the Eastern Trail.  More information here

Kennebunk

• Town Hall (at Limerick Road and Kennebunk Elementary School). Spaces are at rear of lot near kiosk and spur trail
• For all Forever Preserve (Route 99 opposite Wakefield Road intersection, 0.5 mile north of ET from MacGuire Road using Wakefield Rd). 6 spaces. | Map
• Park and Ride (on Alewive Road, adjacent to I‐95 exit, and 0.3 mile south of the ET.). 40+ spaces. | Map

Wells

• Tilton Homestead Conservation Area (99 Brangdon Road, look for a dirt driveway to the parking lot, can be hard to notice from the
  road.). 2 spaces. | Map
• Wells ‐ Ogunquit Little League Fields (625 North Berwick Road, not on main ET but on alternate trail to the Amtrak station). 40+ spaces. | Map

South Berwick

• Vaughn Woods State Park (28 Oldfields Road). 8 spaces on the street lot and 15+ within the state park. State Park fee required in season and requested off season. | Map
• Municipal Lot (9 Railroad Avenue, 1 block west of the trail). 30+ spaces. | Map
• Aggie Ballfields (Willow Drive). 40+ spaces. | Map
• Great Works River Bridge (Wide spot north of river on east side of Great Hill Road). 3 spaces | Map
• Orris Falls (Opposite 99 Thurrell Road). 3 spaces. | Map

Eliot

• Town Hall (1333 State Road). Lot may be empty on Fridays. Also weekend parking available at nearby school or recreation field. | Map

Kittery

• Legion Pond (About 5 parking spaces, across from Sue’s Seafood (33 Old Post Road).  More parking can be found at the ball fields located about 1⁄4 mile north on Old Post Road. | Map
