Important Rider Information – MLR 2021


This page contains important information for those who have already registered for the Maine Lighthouse Ride. It will be updated as needed, especially as we get closer to the ride date!
Note: There will be no registration on the day of the ride – you MUST be pre-registered.

Maine Lighthouse Ride logoCongratulations on choosing the Maine Lighthouse Ride!  The Maine Lighthouse Ride (MLR) is a bicycle ride that showcases 9 lighthouses along the beautiful coast of southern Maine, run at one of the best times of year – mid-September. The MLR is the primary fundraising event that supports the Eastern Trail Alliance, a non-profit on a mission to promote the Eastern Trail (ET), a 65-mile off-road trail that will connect Kittery with South Portland, Maine. The 18th annual MLR will be held September 11, 2021.

To-Go Meal: Available only to riders at SMCC 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Show your Ride bib to receive your meal.  One vegetarian option.

Packet pick up: SMCC Friday (9/10) afternoon, 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Also available Saturday morning, 6-8AM on September 11.

Rest Stops: Lots of complimentary food and water at all the rest stops, including granola and protein bars, fruit, PB&J sammies, pickles, etc. All the fun stuff to fuel you to finish strong!

Ride Start Times:

  • Century: 7:00 AM
  • 62-Miles: 7:30 AM
  • 40 Miles: 8:00 AM
  • 25 Miles: 8:30 AM

Jersey and other MLR swag! Vendor Stores Maine Lighthouse Ride | Ascend Sportswear. We will also have a small retail location at the Ride for additional purchases!

Hotel: We do not have a block with any hotels. There are many options in the area.  Please check out visitportland.com or ask us for a referral!

Safety / Rescue: We will have SAG wagons riding the courses to assist. We also have some supplies at each rest stop. We have an emergency number for you to call should you need help on any course! (207.284.9260)

E-Bikes Allowed? Yes, Class 1 and Class 2 only, please.
