Cake and Community- ETA Holds its Annual Membership Meeting
On August 26, nearly 50 friends, old and new, joined us at our Annual Membership Meeting for an evening of connection, celebration, and a look ahead at what’s next for the Eastern Trail.
The evening doubled as a meet-and-greet with our new Interim Executive Director, Eliza Alexander, and new ETA staff. It was wonderful to put faces to names and welcome everyone into the ETA community.
Board Chair MaryBeth McNicholas and Eliza Alexander shared updates on our remaining trail projects and a recent board exercise focused on defining shared language for who we are as an organization. Attendees participated in an interactive exercise built around four key words: Fun, Welcoming, Trustworthy, and Respectful.
We also marked a big milestone with a special “Closed the Gap” cake—a sweet way to celebrate the progress we’ve made toward connecting the trail.
