Pictures from the Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening of the new “Close the Gap” section of the Eastern Trail

After hundreds of community members gathered for a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 6, the new “Close the Gap” trail section officially opened for public use! Walkers and cyclists enjoyed making first tracks and footprints on the new section.

This new section links the Greenbelt trail in South Portland with Scarborough, and leads to the beautiful Scarborough Marsh.
