Dear Members and Friends,
We are excited to share some incredible news with you all. The Eastern Trail Alliance is delighted to announce the appointment of Chelsey Berlin as our new Executive Director. A passionate Mainer, Chelsey brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to nonprofit leadership.
Chelsey comes to the Eastern Trail Alliance after a progressively responsible tenure at HIAS, an organization that provides vital services to refugees and asylum seekers around the world, where she was most recently the Director of Community Engagement Programs and Initiatives. There, she built programs and events around outcomes of education, direct service, charitable giving, and advocacy. Prior to that, Chelsey served as Director of B’Tselem USA, where she set the strategic vision for and directed the day-to-day management of the organization.
Chelsey has dedicated her career to supporting and uplifting communities. Her personal philosophy resonates deeply with us. She believes that everyone deserves a place of refuge, whether it be for physical safety or simply to find solace amidst the chaos of everyday life. This understanding fuels her determination to ensure that the Eastern Trail continues to be an invaluable resource.
With Chelsey at the helm, we are confident that she will guide us toward even greater achievements in our ongoing efforts to connect communities and preserve natural spaces.
We encourage you all to join us in warmly welcoming Chelsey Berlin as our new Executive Director. She will officially start her position with the Eastern Trail in early December. We are fortunate to have someone of her caliber leading our organization into this exciting new chapter.
Thank you for your continued support as we embark on this journey together.
