November 2019

Dear Friends of the Eastern Trail,

We hope you found yourself on the trail in 2019.  Whether it was physical health and or mental well-being, that is what the trail is for.  The trail is there for you to share with friends and relatives from away, a safe place to transport from town to town.  Teaching loved ones how to ride their first bike, to begin your own physical fitness pledge, or to simply allow you some “down time” to enjoy the surrounding nature.

The Eastern Trail is for everyone

With your support, the Eastern Trail Alliance continues to fulfill our mission through trail development. Thanks to your generosity, the funding has been secured to close the 1.6 mile gap in the trail between South Portland and Scarborough. We just need to be patient as we wait for our turn in the line of many state and local projects. Watch for more updates in 2020!

As you know, every section and spur added to the Eastern Trail increases your transportation options, enhances local real estate values, and contributes to your community’s economy.

Donations to last year’s annual appeal allowed us to complete the land surveys for the Blazing the Trail South campaign.  This year’s appeal will be put toward the cost of the Blazing the Trail South’s engineering design.

Will you join with us to keep trail development moving south of Kennebunk? Please consider making a tax-deductible gift to help continue the expansion and improvement of the Eastern Trail.

This year, a very generous donor has stepped up to provide a $30,000 match. That means that your donation today will go even further!

Use the Donate button below to pay by Credit Card, or via a PayPal Account.

If you prefer to pay by check, please send a check to: Eastern Trail Alliance – P.O. Box 250 – Saco, ME 04072 and please indicate 2019 ANNUAL APPEAL on the memo line

Thank you for your continued support!

Deb Erickson-Irons, President
Eastern Trail Alliance Board of Trustees
