Eastern Trail Extension Being Built in South Portland

December 13, 2002 - Jim Gailey, ETMD member and South Portland City Site Planner, sent the following pictures for the new section of trail that will eventually connect the existing terminous of the Greenbelt Walkway (at the southern end off Broadway Avenue) to the new recreation areas off Highland Road and near the Scarborough town line. The contractor has until June 1, 2003 to finish the project. Early
reports have the contractor clearing and laying gravel this winter,
then finishing the trail up after mud season.
