MAY 2003 EASTERN TRAIL NEWS:
Leonard "Chip" Jahnke, 65, of Friendship,
left May
12 from Calais on a marathon bike ride that will finish in Washington, D.C.
The ride promotes the completion of the East Coast Greenway, which will
include 327 miles in Maine, and including the Eastern Trail. about
29 of which have been completed in Calais, Augusta, Hallowell, Brunswick,
Yarmouth, Portland, South Portland and Saco.
Here's some pictures of ET supporters and the ETA Banner
greeting Chip at several key points along the Eastern Trail. First at the Dunstan River crossing,
then later in Saco at the
ETA office, and finally at the Kittery bridge as Chip left Maine and
